One of my users seems to be having problems registering my plugin using an R11 License Server serial number with a new seat of Cinema 4D R13 added to it. I don't know if there is a different License Server serial number involved (maybe the seat count has changed and he doesn't realize it?). Can C4D R13 be served by the R11 LS and would he probably have a changed or a new LS serial number to work with? Thanks,

The user is still having difficulties. Here is some of the exchange but I am requesting some more indepth information:
1. Ooo hold up, I got the license server to recognize the serial. It now has an Interposer Pro entry off of the dropdown menu for R13. I'll need to restart the server to test the serials for everyone, but I may have gotten it. I'll write back if not.
2. Ok that's a negative. The License Server recognizes part of the number, because it now has IPP in a dropdown off of the R13 serials, but launching an R13 client still gives a message that the IPP serial is wrong.
According to my information, as long as the License Server serial hasn't changed (not even for seat count) then the addition of C4D R13 'client' as part of it should still work with my plugin serial number for the License Server.
Any thoughts?

Hey Robert,
From what I've seen, the R11 License Server can serve licenses for multiple versions of Cinema 4D, but if that's the case, the different versions would be part of different "Serial Packages" (and thus would have separate "Multi-License" serial numbers, potentially with different seat-counts, etc).
If the seat-count and digits are actually the same, the other thing to check would be the license key string that you provide, where the version is specified...

It turns out that they have a difference license server serial number for R11, R12, and R13. Saw this in a screenshot and promptly provided them with IPP serial numbers for the R12 and R13 servers. All seems to be working.
Sometimes a screenshot is worth a thousand emails...

Amen to that... like the screenshot I posted in the thread below here - very enlightening.
