      Hi All,

there is a way to have a working Specular on the OGL preview for the Materials?
Of course, i'm talking about a custom Material. 🙂

      thanks in advance
      Renato T.

        Hi Maxon Support,

I have another question and the answer can help us to have a better OpenGL preview of Glass Materials.

There is a way to enable the dithering, as we can see in the OpenGL Preview of C4d materials?

        Thanks in advance
        Renato

          Hi Renato,

unfortunately no good news for you.
There are basically two ways to influence the preview shown for a custom material.
One is the MaterialData::InitGlImage() function you probably already know about. But this obviously doesn't help you with your specular.
The other way is using GLSL and completely doing this on your own. Unfortunately this is completely undocumented territory, and we can not provide any support on this topic. Sorry.
