      Hi,

the license model of my shop offers to buy just 1 plugin license to run with a multi license server with up to 3 clients. My customer now provides 3 multi license keys, each valid for just 1 client!? What a crazy thing is that?

      He says:
I have 1 license server with 3 licenses, those are the 3 licenses I have from C4D that run in 1 license server

      20600195379
      20600195380
      20600195381

This doesn't make any sense! What is the difference to running just 3 workstations with normal single licenses?

Could they be three different versions of Cinema? 1 Studio, 1 Broadcast and one Prime?

          Hi Klaus,

I first had to contact our licensing department, here's their response:

There are multiple reasons for assigning single licenses instead of multi licenses.
One reason would be (as bonsak already correctly suggested) different versions of Cinema (Prime, Broadcast, Visualize, Studio) as all these need different licenses.
Another reason: If a customer had single licenses and later on changed to the license server. In this case the three single licenses can only be merged into one multi license with three seats when a new version of C4D is bought.
I hope this helps clearing up the situation.
