Has anyone an idea why my c4d r15.037 64 bit will not show all my plugins in the plugin pull down? I'm going absolutely nuts having to rename plugins and shutdown/restart(rename as in adding 01, to the front of the name) to call them up..
I thought this was only a problem with 32 bit, why I Upgraded to 64bit.

Any assistance would be great, Maxon suggests a reload and I've a lot of work getting everything set already.

      Thanks,

The official Maxon line is that the only limit on loaded plugins is memory. But I and others have found that a large number of plugins may result in some not loading, even if plenty of memory is still available.

There isn't an easy solution to this. The best you can do is rename those plugs you don't need at any given time and restart Cinema to only load the ones you actually need. It was to make this easier that I wrote my Plugin Boss plugin, which makes this as automatic as possible. Get it (it's free) from my site at http://www.microbion.co.uk/graphics/c4d/pib.htm

It's open source so feel free to rework it if it doesn't do exactly as you want.

Thanks Steve! I've been using your plug-in, 'boss', for a while, and it is of a great help.
Yes, plenty of mem.. I really appreciate your response as I was thinking it had to be me, lol. My plugin pull-down is split into 2 sections The upper holds 19, lower, 21, stuck with that. All I can figure is C4d must be counting submenus on these plug-ins. I've about 100+ plugs but over time it seems that the ones with the more subroutines , like Maxwell, Vtay CmNodes tend to end up on the pull down. I guess if one were to count the 'subs',,,,,
Nah, c4d has a problem with the block running the plugin rollout, (see, I feel much better.lol!)
          Thanks again

Also take a look at that older thread for some background to this problem:

Problem with too many loaded plugins (dlls)

About how many plugins are we talking about? Python Plugins are limited unfortunately due to a technical limitation.

                Hi Seb,

can you please give some details about these limitation(s) with Python plugins?
And when (with how many plugins) will/may problems appear.

                Kind regards,
                Tom
