Draw into Interactive Render Region

I see that C4D itself can draw tool information into the Interactive Render Region, but I cannot. As soon as the mouse enters it, the tool draw disappears or, in the case of a selection region around the cursor, it freezes at the edge. How can this be done?Thanks,
