is there any chance we could have the option (or our own user preference area) to customise the way our searches are done? The default 6-month culling cuts off other topics that could still be relevant. It also knocks out older topics that could shed light on some areas, even if they are outdated (it just means the user has to translate to a more up-to-date syntax). I'm finding that constantly having to go to the advanced search is a little tiresome - unless I'm missing a better way of searching.
Also, I've noticed that some of the older topics I've tried to read no longer accessible. Why is this? Are they too far back? I only ask because there was an old topic that briefly covered an area I'm looking up, but the further hyperlinks provided in it are no longer valid.
