It seems impossible to build plugins for Cinema 4D R10 on the newer Mac computers with 10.7 or later. I can't install Xcode 2.4.1 at all. The furthest back that I can go is to R11. If anyone has a setup that would allow an R10 build on MacOS, I would much appreciate it. For now I will only do R11 but it would be nice to have this coverage. Thanks!

Howdy,
Hey if you clean out your private messages, I'll PM you a link where you can download a copy of my "Xcode2.5" folder. You can then unzip it to your HD's root directory without having to install it as the "Developer" folder.
Adios,

Anything else that I have to do? I created a folder in the root "Developer_2.4.1" similar to my 3.2.6 folder and unzipped everything into it. I tried to open an R10 project using that Xcode and it crashed ("Xcode quit unexpectedly"). Same if I just try to launch Xcode 2.5 directly.
I will Fix Permissions and reboot to see if that helps at all.
Thanks,

Howdy,
Well, of that I'm not sure because I'm still on Mac OS Snow Leopard and it works. I'm always hesitant to upgrade too soon for this very reason.

I'm currently on Lion (10.7.5). This is what came with my iBook so not much choice on upgrading.
Oh well. Guess I'm only going as far back as R11 on MacOS then.
Thanks for your help, Dan!

Howdy,
Sorry about the Xcode 2.5 not working. Are there any other older applications that won't run in 10.7 Lion? Does Lion also have Rosetta installed?

Howdy,
Have you considered creating a second partition and downloading Snow Leopard from the ADC Developer downloads site? Are you a registered Apple developer?
