THE POST BELOW IS MORE THAN 5 YEARS OLD. RELATED SUPPORT INFORMATION MIGHT BE OUTDATED OR DEPRECATED

The subject line says it all, really. Is it possible - and if so, is it permitted - to use the functions of a BaseDraw to draw in the rendered image at some point? Since the HUD can be rendered, it seemed that this might be possible.

Specifically, what I would like to do is draw in the render using functions such as DrawPoly() and DrawTexture(). I was thinking that a videopost might be the way to go. There is a Draw() function in VideoPostData, but it's marked as 'not used' and indeed, doesn't seem to be called when I try it.

So all I'd really like to know at this point is if this is allowed/possible. If it isn't, that would at least stop me spending time trying to do it 🙂

      Thanks,

      Steve

No. I think the original intend of the the Draw method was to draw post effects directly into the viewport. This can be done through GlDraw but is currently not documented because at this point we can't provide support for it. There are some examples in SDK though if you feel brave 🙂

        cheers,
        Matthias
