Is it possible to hide a part of a plugin serial in the personalize/registration dialog in a way it happens with maxons serial numbers?

I mean, if I would generate serial numbers for my plugins in a similar format like the maxon serials:

E.g.:
01234567890-ABCD-EFGH-IJKL-MNOP

It would be cool if just the number part would be visible in the registration window even though the complete serial with the letter part is necessary for a valid registration.
