This is just a suggestion, but it would be nice if there was a higher level SDK function that combined all texture mapping coordinates
(UVW(level 0) + procedural + plugins, etc...) into one UVWTag for a specific object/polygon.  Because an object can have many textures applied,
which means it can have many different mappings applied too.
It looks like Cinema4D already does this for Wavefront OBJ and other exports.  So, it would be nice if this routine was accessible
      through the SDK.  Thanks.

The problem is that it not only can have different mappings but it can also have several uvw sets. Otherwise you can simply bake the resulting textures, I don´t see how this should work otherwise with the current toolset or I don´t understand what you actually want to do.

All mappings would be combined with only the first UVWTag found.  Or it could just ignore UVWTags.

I don't understand what you actually want to do.

I want to export all mapping coordinates from Cinema4D, like the Wavefront exporter.  And if the object doesn't have
them as UVW values, then they need to be generated.
That brings me to another question.  If an object has a UVWTag and it also has TextureTags with different mappings,
how does Cinema4D decide which mapping coordinates it should use?  The ones from UVWTag or TextureTag?
Will UVWTag override all other mappings?

The right most texture tag overrides the other texture tags. Texture tags can also be restricted to polygon selections. Think of it like layers in Photoshop.
