      Hi guys,

the recent chm help files give me nonsensical error messages.

(sorry for the german. It says that it cannot connect to some website). I don't know if it's related to Antons issues so i'm starting my own thread

There is a silly solution. I copied the first 21 bytes from a working chm to the bad ones.

I still have IExplorer 6 installed, using Firefox for everything. So i suspect that the file format changed and the old IExplorer can't handle it - assuming that the IExplorer components are used to view the HTML data ...

      Any comment on this?

This is the truly stupid message you get when Vista (and maybe Win7) try to protect you from those deadly dangerous .chm files. (Although there is a reason for it, see this link.)

Anyway, just right click on the file and hit the 'Unblock' button in the General tab. Then you won't see that error again (for this file, anyway).

Hi, i have this problem , too. But i could solve it by installing an additional chm viewer.
