create/open editor in a dialog win

Hi,

i want to create a dialog that has its own editor window, so that i can manipulate an object there indepentent from the current scene that is active in cinema.

I think the MatPreview is somewhat similar to what i need, so if i was able to manipulate points in that window, it would be a start.

Is this possible ?

if not, would it be possible to open the current doc's editor window in a dialog ?
