      I wondering if the SDK is flexible enough for me to write a Maya PaintEffects like plugin (or something similar) for BodyPaint 3D.

      1. Draw new geometry on the surface or be able to draw any UI or geometry helper on top of geometry being painted.

      2. Store UVW (or more) per-vertex - i.e user-data / blind data per vertex.

      Afterwords, I'd export the data for use in a game or another 3D app.
