      Hi,

ich have a DescriptionToolData Plugin, and i want to change the display of the active object.

I tried displayControl, but it seems that i can only change the shading there.

What i want is to display the active (selected) object as if it was not selected, which is i dont want to draw any lines on the object.

I want this bc it will speed up the display and also make it more to see stuff on dense meshes.

      thanks!

I don't think this is possible but maybe I don't understand. Can you please post a screenshot or something to explain it better.

        cheers,
        Matthias

ok i will try to explain better 😉

imagine u have an object in your scene, and viewport display mode is set to quick shading without lines.

then it is displayed without any lines at all, unless you select it, bc the active object always gets its mesh lines drawn around it (or isolines).

What i want is to remove the display of those lines, just as if the object was not selected.

Im not sure if this is possible either... first i thought of the viewportselect class because it says sth about its used internally for highlighting, but it seems not to help in my purpose.

Why not simply switching off the "Sel.: Wireframe" option in Cinema's Viewports Display's settings? It would be up to the user then to see lines or not.

            cheers,
            Matthias
