Yes, you have to use the object's container. Please read the chapter of the BaseContainer class in the COFFEE docu.

Yes, you do. Until v9.102, the latest COFFEE SDK was v6.3. If you look at the 6.3 COFFEE docs, there is no AllocTag!
Upgrade to 9.102 - it's free and has improved COFFEE.

Changes since CINEMA 4D R6.3
- Objects, tags, materials and shaders are no longer allocated with new(...). Instead you should use AllocObject(), AllocTag(), AllocMaterial() and AllocShader().
So i thought AllocTag() would work on all versions over 6.3.
The Point is, I want built a coffeescript for a big range of version.
Personally I work with R10, but some of my users have older versions, so the question is, can i add coffeetags with a function, working on R9 and older

All versions of COFFEE over 6.3. 9.102 was the next update to COFFEE since 6.3!
I'd limit it to 9.1 or later. Not one person can complain since the update from 9.012 to 9.102 is a free update and solves a bunch of issues in the SDKs. This is just like R10.008 - I recommend strongly (forcibly even) for all of my users to upgrade to R10.102 or 10.111 since 10.008 was unstable and crashed frequently.
