    COFFEE extended ASCII support?

      Okay, I see that GE_8BIT suffices to answer that one. 🙂
      Still not sure how to encode it though.

      And, do you think it is prudent to expect the display of extended ASCII characters to be the same on Windows, MacOS9, MacOSX - have they reached a singular standard agreement?

      I'm trying to get at the line symbols for a simulated tree structure in a text file.
