Hi,

I'm looking for file format that would be easy to manipulate keyframe data in a text editor and would import keyframe data into C4D. So far, VRML seems to use quaternons and XML is inscrutable.

Perhaps you could use the built-in ASCII Animation Import plugin. It can import animation data from ASCII files.
