Hi
In addition to 'render to picture viewer' i realy miss a command that will only render the CURRENT frame to the picture viewer.
This way i wouldnt have to either change render settings or edit the current render setting to see how the frame actually renders when working with animations.Regards

I know this is an older thread, but I took about 20 minutes to knock this one out if anyone is interested. Just a small, simple Python script
Let me know if anyone would be interested.
It will render the current frame and then restore your settings to their previous state

I certainly dont mind posting the raw code here if need be...was planning on offering a zip file that included an icon to make it dockable.
let me know what the general preference will be...a link to a file download or the raw script?

Someone who is searching for it right now and is not registered to the forum can't write you a message that he does need it. Â
A file with Icon, etc. is nicer of course and you usually (depending on the host) get feedback about how often it was downloaded. But if you do so, please make sure to choose a host that will keep the file as long as possible.
Raw code in contrast stays alive until the thread is exposed. So it's up to you what to choose.
I'm sure your code will be a good helper and also a good reference for anybody searching for this.Sidenote to admins: An attachment-system for the Café would be quite nice.
Cheers, Niklas
