    C4D doesn't cope with symlinked scripts

      If you make a symbolic link to your script file, C4D prints something along the lines of "COFFEE Error (100) Declaration Expected" on the Console when starting up. The same script works fine when copied into the plugin directory instead.

      I want to do use a symlink because I develop the script in another directory for source code management reasons. (One shouldn't keep original documents under /Applications!) Hard links do work, but they do not provide the right semantics; they're hardly better than simply copying the file into the plugins directory.
