Apparently, in R8+ SDK plugins, you can now send messages to other plugins.  The help file has this to say about it:
"A new function named PluginMessage() allows you to receive inter-plugin messages. You can also answer the C4DMSG_PRIORITY to define an explicit priority for your plugin (to for example load plugin A before B, independent on where it resides). To communicate with other plugins use GePluginMessage(my_unique_id, my_data)."
...my question is, from where do I get "my_unique_id" ?  Do I gerate a new ID from the Cafe, like I would a unique Plugin ID?  How can I be sure that it is outside the range used by C4D internally and unique to my app alone?  I'm assuming I get it as mentioned above, but wanted to check to make sure first.
      Thanks.

        Howdy,

Yes, you treat a message ID just like a plugin ID and obtain it in the same way.

        Adios,
