      Hello,
      After programming in Coffee I try my first steps in VC++.
      There is a free version from microsoft: visual C++ express
      I install VC++ and make a renamed copy of SDK-Folder in the Plugins folder in c4d.
      Now I start the file: "cinema4dsdk.vcproj"
      At ask to convert i say yes!

      My first learning steps into a new language is, change running exist code with my ideas.
      Second steps are write simple program.
      Third is to fill this program with other codesnips.

      My problem is, I start the debugger and the debugger say:
      "LINK : fatal error LNK1104: Datei "odbc32.lib" kann nicht geöffnet werden" -> can't open

      I copy the SDK-folder because, this is the first way, how to I get a .cdl file!
      But what can I delete from the sdk-project to get the lowest running program?
      I think to a program like this:
      #include <iostream.h>
      void main()
      {
      cout<< "C++ Plugin loaded...";
      }

      debugging and running an shown in the console !?

      I have a C++ Startup-Book and read it two times.
      Is there a better way to start with my first C++ plugin ?

        moin,

        go to the project of the plugin settings... search the linker settings... and remove odbc32.lib odbccp32.lib from
        library modules... ok tried it only with the 9.1 sdk... but give it a try...

        just tried it now... it links even without these libraries...

        greetz ultra
