Hi,it looks like the Videopost-plugins work in the image domain. If I would like to influence the true intensity, then obviously I have to know the Gamma of Cinema images.
Is there any way to get the Gamma used in Cinema? Any tips for dealing with this issue?
Thanks
Kabe

Afaik CINEMA 4D doesn't care about gamma. (Which would mean gamma=1, I guess.)

Well, if this would be true, then reducing the intensity to half should not reduce the color to half it's value.
If you have an original color of #cccccc and apply *0.5 in Videopost, you get #666666 as a color, which is exactly half the color value - and clearly *not* half the intensity (which should be ~#606060, depending on gamma). The difference becomes much more important in the shadows btw.

C4D only deals with color values afaik, not intensities.

Yes, that's obvious (at least at that point). However, at some point there has to be a Gamma conversion, because at some point a light that has the double intensity must be mapped to the image color space...
I'm wondering though why the render setting "render gamma" seems to have no influence at all...
