Buttons from resource file don't work

how are buttons activated in coffee.I figure outt some the basic things like loading resource files
understanding matrices but this simple activate button thing is kicking my butt. Button ID is in a resource file Class is GeDialog /Command (msg)
Does case = button ID ? Do you need a class (Init)?I can not find any good documentation that explains this.

I had buttons set to select a certian type of item which was not part of the scene. Using the console I was able to check to see what was wrong with each button. I am a newbie so I tend overlook some basic things at times even after figuring out some complex coding.
