I have ported my v7.303 plugin to the v8.5 SDK, but the 8.5 version apparently doesn't load itself (?) under C4D v8.207.  I don't think I'm using anything v8.5 specific (in fact, I was mistakingly using the 8.01 (?) help files when porting).
Since the 7.303 version of my plugin may have problems with the emulation layer, I would like to base my 8.x port on the earliest non-emulated SDK, which I assume to be v8.01 ?  or v8.2xx ?
My delima is that since the SDK now comes WITH C4D and the only 8.x version of C4D I have available is the demo of v8.5... how do I get the earlier/earliest 8.x SDK?  The _documentation_ can be downloaded here, but I did not find any link to the SDK itself.
      Any help would be appreciated,
      - Keith

I know what you mean since I compile my plugins with 8.2 myself.
If you had the R8 installation disc you could simply go 8->8.2 again yourself. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to do it if you only have the demo. I suggest you contact MAXON directly to ask if they want to help you making your plugins available to more people. (Please write in the mail that it must not be forwarded to Mikael Sterner, otherwise it might come back to me again... 🙂

I was afraid you'd say something like that ;).
I wouldn't think it would be much of a problem getting the SDK (they don't bother trying to hide/protect the 8.5 SDK, or earlier versions), except that they don't seem to be particularly responsive to e-mails.  I sent a query to [email protected] a week ago and hadn't seen any response yet - I guess they're busy.
Do you know/have any e-mail address/contacts that might get faster response?
          Thanks much,
