Unicode String within cinema gui

Language(s) : C++ ;---------The cinema strings are said to be unicode ones. But even if I set the gui font to arial ms unicode, no unicode characters are displayed within the gui. I still have to set codepages....is full unicode not supported by the gui?

That's right. Internally C4D uses unicode, but since it has to cater for non-unicode OS like Win98 and MacOS9, the GUI doesn't use the unicode functions of the OS. Thus it only handles the subset of unicode that maps to the default 8-bit codepage of your OS (including some multi-byte things for Japanese, iirc). In the future, when Win98 and MacOS9 compatibility becomes unimportant, this will hopefully change.
