---------I have created a new plugin, where do I go from here?  If maxon wants to use it in a later release do they have to get my permission to use it?  I know I could upload it to the maxon site but does that mean I give up the rights to the plugin?

easy. No You don´t give away any rights except that people can download the plugin from this site. You are still the owner of the plugin and the plugin (and of course code) remains property of you, neither do you give them any permission to distribute it in their package without your prior agreement.
