Im writing a renderman RIB exported. I would like to have an option that would let the use rautomatically convert everything to polygons on export if they want. Is there a way to do this internally in COFFEE without updating the objects in the scene? Basically, I want the objects converted to polygons on export, but after the plugin is through, I don't want any of hte objects in the scene to be converted.

No, unfortunately there's no easy way in 6.3 C.O.F.F.E.E.. I guess you could use SendModelingCommand().
