THE POST BELOW IS MORE THAN 5 YEARS OLD. RELATED SUPPORT INFORMATION MIGHT BE OUTDATED OR DEPRECATED

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of CW 9.0 w/MacOSX and Classic targets for MacOSX. I've never programmed on a Mac before.

What caveats, tips, and links can anyone offer for someone adding CW to many years of VC++ programming experience? Especially, what should I be aware of when porting my Windows plugin code to CodeWarrior?

Added: One last question. I donot own C4D for MacOS, but I do have the C4D R9 demo. The problem is that I am writing the plugin based on the R8.0 C++ SDK in Windows. Is there any way to get the R8.0 SDK for Mac and use it with this demo? Very confusing...

      Thanks,

        Hi Kuro,

in the SDK folder there is a project file for CodeWarrior too "cinema4d.prj" that you can simply import into Codewarrior and work from that (same procedure as VC++).

Afaik you can simply get your whole SDK project folder to the MAC and work with that. No conversion needed (no guarantee though!). But am not sure about the demo issue. Might work, but not sure at all.

          Hi 3D Designer,

Alright! That get's me half way there! 🙂

The 'demo issue' is going to make for an interesting rollercoaster ride, it is assured. If it works, silence. If not, I'll post back to the SDK forum to get some insights maybe.

BTW, CW JUST arrived, literally. Darn! They are fast. Ordered Saturday afternoon, received confirmation on Monday, here today. Ahm alls a twitta. 😉

          Thanks again,
