Seems like you have an exact purpose for this. Could you explain how you intend to use such a plugin?

li intend to use it like normal x-ref usage.  i'm also most familier with Max, so something like that would be nice.
I'm an architect and use larger and larger architectural sites composed on many many buildings. many are repetitions of each other.
i just find it a pain in the ass when ammendments come along to the design.  At present i have to spend ages amending a large model, whereas x-reffing will allow me to remotely change one element, therefor automatically updating the same elements in the larger model.  get my drift?
          🙂

              Hello!
Hey, I am now me!!!  Please make a suggestion at the C4D forum at cidertank.com/forums.  I have been playing with somethings for JENNAv2.5 that would add this kind of functionality.  Post what you need and we can see about getting you on the beta team so you can see if it is what you need.
