      I am writing a new export to a different file format from c4d. Almost everything is working well, except I am having problems getting the rgb values of textures used on objects.

      for ( int theChannelIndex = 0; theChannelIndex < 12; theChannelIndex++)
      {
                BaseChannel *baseChannelPtr;

                baseChannelPtr = inC4DMaterial->GetChannel( theChannelIndex );

      //I know there is a bitmap on channel zero, (color) but this doesn't work...

      BaseBitmap* theImage = baseChannelPtr->GetBitmap();

      //BaseBitmap will always be null...

      }

      Again, I really need to rgb values from the bitmap.
      Alternatively could I do something like get the channel to render a line of texture and save the rgb values from that perhaps? Also, how do I find out if the model should be rendered in wireframe or perhaps point?

      Thanks a lot, chris
      PS-the preview looks horrible, no newlines are represented and the code is nearly unreadable so I hope it looks better in the forum...
