Is it valid to create multiple UV tags and use restriction tags to apply them to Polygon selections only? So a model can have multiple different UV maps defined that cover different sections?

      Thanks,
      David

An UV map contains the information about all polygons in the object, not only parts (it is not valid to delete points).

But it is valid to have multiple UV tags. they will be used in the tag order. Texture tags are always using the UVtag before I think (try out, this is tricky and I haven't used it often).

But generally there's no problem using multiple UV tags - but your material tag can acces only one UV map.
