Attach OpenGL framebuffer to Dialog?

Is there a way to attach an OpenGL framebuffer to a GeDialog window, similar to the Cinema 4D Viewport?
I could create a framebuffer internally, use glReadPixels() and blit that onto a BaseBitmap, and in turn draw
that on a GeUserArea, but I was hoping there could be a better solution.TIA!
