Is it possible to send a message to a menu plugin from another? (How do I do this?) If so, is it then possible for the menuplugin to store the information in a basecontainer till it's called?

The easiest way is to implement both menu plugins in the same .cof file. Then they can share the same global variable.
Otherwise you can experiment with a message plugin in each .cof file that also shares a global variable with its menu plugin.
