I'd like my script to do different things based on which manager is active, similar the way the delete command works.

Can python access this information? I can't seem to find it.

Hmm...I was mistaken, the delete actually works based on where your cursor is hovering.

I'd actually need to know the manager which is highlighted. Probably not possible in Python.

I've got the same question. Basically, I want to know if the user's cursor is hovering over the:
          - Perspective View
          - Ortho View (and which view)
          - Object Manager
          - Material Manager
          - Content Browser
          - Anywhere Else

I want my command to call different behaviors depending on where the user's cursor is.
          Thanks!

          Donovan

            Hi Donovan,

there's no way to get that information. It's just not how things work internally. There's no function calling commands depending on mouse position. Instead every manager dialog reacts to mouse and keyboard events. So, if a manager wants to react on Delete key, it will do so in its input events. And not the other way round.
            Sorry.

              Hi Andreas,

Thank you for the timely response! That's unfortunate, but I'll see if I can't find a more c4d-style solution to this particular problem.
              Cheers,

              Donovan
