Hi,a custumer of mine requests a new plugin key and provides the follwing numbers:
C4D Runtime: 14400510200 Runtime Licence:21433210200What kind of number is 21433210200?
Since he bought the plugin for 14400510200 and thus owns a working key for that number, his installation seems to run (now) with this strange second number.
Any ideas? Thanks.

That looks like a Licence Server number. You can check with him that he's running under LS (he may not know if he is, of course - but if he's working in a studio, he may well be, and he can check with his IT support).
If it is LS, a 'regular' plugin serial won't work and you will need to generate a licence server number instead. There is an excellent thread by Giblet in this forum about how to do that. Unfortunately unless you already built LS support into your serial checking routine, you will need to rewrite the routine to handle these numbers.

Thanks. My plugin suppurts license server numbers. But the first three digits don't match the format described in the SDK:
<<
A multi-license has the following formating:
201[100]00519-ABCDEFThe third, fourth and fifth digits equal the number of licenses, in the above example it is 100 licenses.
>>So if this number is a multi license anyway, there would be 332 clients!

You're quite right, of course. I saw the '2' and assumed it was LS without checking the rest of the format.
In which case I have no idea what it means. Is he saying that the original serial you gave him did work. but now it doesn't? I guess the question then is, what's changed in his setup?

yes, he bought some weeks ago using the regular digits and now he wants a new license key to work with this strange number. I have asked for a screenshot showing these digits in his app. I'm curious about it.

Hmm, haven't seen this before either. LS numbers start with 204..(for R14)

Hi Yannick,
I mean 21433210200 to be strange. 14400510200 looks for me like a regular serial number (and works this way).
If you mean 21433210200 to be the student multi license, how can it be detected? Is it the "1" in second place?
