I'm afraid I have the same issue as the 14014 Py SDK that the search
does not work on OSX 10.8.2.
typing a word (that does exist) only sets the browser in "prepare search.."
        that never ends.

This is both on my lap and workstation.

(Using the online version from PA Edwards site, the search works)

        Cheers
        Lennart

          Hi Lennart,

          What browser do you use?

I have the same issue with the search on Windows with Google Chrome, but it works in Firefox.
There's a somewhat similar issue with the C++ docs in Chrome: index tree is incredibly slow but under Firefox it's smooth.

i have the same experience for google chrome + windows for multiple versions of the
sdk. ie proccessed the page always fine. on earlier versions in chorme i got always
the warning blahblah activeX blah. when i accpeted this warrning the search box
appeared (but did not really work),

and on top of that - when does maxon start to provide the sdks as an online hosted version ?
i really like pers service, but i would prefer to have a link from which i know it will always be the
latest sdk help hosted by maxon 🙂

This is a known bug with Sphinx local search + Chrome: see this reported issue and the linked tickets on Sphinx bug tracker. This is why it works online but not offline on Chrome.

The workaround mentioned here seems to fix the search.
Could you also edit the file as described and tell me if it fixes the issue for you too on Chrome and with other browsers?

Yes, we should definitely consider make the SDK docs available for online use.

                      hey,

i did not red this before, now its kind of to late i guess, but yes, this fixed also fixed
the searchbar while offline browsing with chrome for me.
