      Hi,

When the user uses the scale tool while being in the axis mode (not the object or model mode), he can set the scale of an object without changing its look.

E.g. he has a polygon object scaled to (1.0;0.5;1.0) to flatten it. Then he uses the axis mode to re-set the scale to (1.0;1.0;1.0), and the object stays flat.

How can I do this from code? I guess it's very simple, but I didn't find out yet.

      Thanks in advance for help!

      Greetings,
      Jack

You have to scale the object's matrix (just like normal) and then re-scale the geometry to compensate the different object scale. So just iterate through the points and multiply each point coord with the appropriate matrix.

thats a pretty complex procedure for a simple c4d action.
