Hi,
how do you provide your plugins? Do you provide a setup program/installer or just the zip-archive for manual installation?
For the windows versions I'm using Inno Setup. It's free and easy to handle, since it's script based. Now I'm looking for a similar installation program for MacOSX.
Any tips?

I'm just using a zip archive. There is an installer that works with both MacOS and Windows but can't remember the name. It is more geared towards Mac but does Windows as well.

You mean Launch4 or similar? It's java based and looks good, but the mac support isn't documented. They says: "eventually macos"...
But I found the PackageMaker tool, part of Xcode(Developer->Applications->Utilities). It seems, that it will do the thing. Just have to find out how to insert custom messages.

Hmm, I used to create an installer for WIN but after quite some time I realised that it was absolutely unnecessary. I provide a zip archive only now too. It´s easy and for 1 simple operation there´s really no need to hassle with installers.

Here at MAXON we use WISE Installer. For a plugin this is probably not worth the hassle though.
cheers,
