      Hello everybody,
I am using Coffee so far for most plugins, due to the fact it's so easy to use.
Since version 9 and still in version 10 I heard/read about the missing possebility of creating tracks, sequences and keys for the timeline in Cinema via coffee. A recent post made me notice that in R10 the used classes for this (BaseTrack, BaseSequence and BaseKey are no longer in use and were replaced by new ones. Still there seems to be no SKD-Documentation for this and still I did not find something about maxons's plans of developing coffe any further, especially concerning the timeline. Did anyone of you hear something new about these themes? Heard any statement from maxon somwhere perhaps? It is not meant as criticism, I am just a bit worried cause I like coffee ;).

      Thanks ind advance,
      Coffejunkie

This should go into general discussions!

But no, haven´t heard of anything definite. And the people who know are not allowed to tell you. 😉

Afaik, COFFEE doesn´t support the new timeline (or CA) changes. Only C++ does. I also hope that COFFEE gets its update sooner than later, because I think it´s still a great way to quickly write small plugins without the C++ compiling and porting issues.

Yes it is true that COFFEE doesn't support the new timeline. MAXON is aware of it.

          cheers,
          Matthias

            Hello Katachi, hello Matthias,
thanks for your answers. I' m sure Maxon will do more than being aware of this and change it soon. [I am missing this soooo badly, sniff, sniff :´(...so much ideas, so few coffee-possebileties to realize them at the moment, it's "burning under my nails" :)]
            😉
Perhaps a Coffee update for V9.xx will be available too then?
By the way, sorry , if this was posted in the wrong corner of the forum. I could not decide where to put it. ;).
Alle the best and thanks a lot,
            Coffejunkie
