Hi
There's an method called SendModellingCommand - There's a Command that's calledMCOMMAND_GENERATESELECTION description: Set selection.
That's not very informative - What I would like to know is -
I have an Polygonobject and I want that the user is able to select Points or Polygons. The simplest method would be to send a modelling command with the clicking position, a vector and a selectionsize and the editor selects all the points/polygons. Can this be done with Coffee and the sendmodellingcommand - if not, I have to write these functions myself what would be slow and complicated, especially for polygons.
Thanks in advance
btw.: Where can I find a description of Message events and what the containers include?

no you can´t and I doubt you can write your own functions for there is no access to the mouse pointer position in COFFEE. This is available thru C++ for example in a Tool Plugin.
Best
