      Hey all,

hopefully some of you non-dev people have some experience with Background handlers (since dev's are on vacation until the third of August).

I saw some functions for it in c4d_general and am intrigued by them.  I have some objects that I need to update almost constantly.  Unfortunately, in some situations this can slow c4d down if some of the objects are high poly.  Nothing serious, at worst only a second or two of delay.  I'm hoping if I can use a Background Handler for this, then the slowdown will become "invisible" to the user.

However, I'm not entirely sure how to use one.  If anyone has any insight into using them, or has written their own in the past, I'd appreciate a "getting started with Background Handlers" post so I can do some testing and see if it's the answer I'm looking for:)

      thanks,
      kvb
