This is yet three more newbie questions;I know that performance of the graphics boards impacts the live-interrection of user with the Cinema 4D.
[1]- Does graphics boards performance also affects the video file generation speed? ie. Does Cinema 4D use graphic processor or main CPU for rendering movie files?
[2]- Does networked, distributed rendering performance can also be increased by faster graphics boards?
[3]- I will renew my computer just to enjoy Cinema 4D, 3D Max and Poser. Can you advise me what is the top 5 graphics boards to use?

Roberto Hawkowski

[1] Not really. Rendering is on the CPU, not GPU.
[2] Nope. Faster CPU for faster rendering.
[3] There are so many out there, you'll need to check reviews to fit your needs and budget. NVidia Quadro and 3DLabs Wildcat are probably the top of the line.
That said, it isn't just a matter of faster GPU. For games pushing every sub-pixel to a screaming splat on your screen, yes. For 3D CG software, it has more to do with the drivers and the OpenGL implementation available. Most don't take full advantage of the features on the cards and less are using the latest OGL implementation.
Now, what do these inquiries have to do with SDK development?
