Can anyone offer any insights or tips on using the SDK turbulence functions such as Turbulence() and WavyTurbulence()? I can see how it's done in a shader but what I want to do is generate a value to affect particle positions in my upcoming particle system plugin. Think of the standard turbulence modifier and you get the idea of what I want to do.What I'm puzzled about are the various parameters. What does 'turbulence coordinate' mean in relation to the 3D scene? Is 'the time' in seconds, milliseconds, frames or what? And 'the start value' - how to decide what this should be?
I've got a working turbulence modifier but it doesn't work as I thought it might. Any advice would be most welcome.
Cheers,
Steve
