      User Information:

I get the following error when trying to open any .res files from the ResEdit Browser:

      "
      CINEMA 4D
There was an error loading the file:
      Line: 1
      Symbol: CONTAINER
      "

Any hints on how to get this working?

      ResEdit: 11.530 ResEdit
      Cinema 4D: 11.530 XL

      Thanks,

      Donovan Keith

That's a description resource and can't be loaded/modified in ResEdit. You have to code them manually. Only dialog resources can be loaded in the resource editor (and yes, that is one of the many limitations and frustrations of the editor).
