Hi one and all,
Apologies if this doesn't quite fit the forum..it seemed the best place.
I wanted to try to get a feel for the future of COFFEE. I'm just starting to play with plugins and quite like the coffee approach but I'm finding it more and more frustrating to realise just how much ISN'T in the current version, (or how much has changed).
I realise that it's very unlikely that there will be any official comment on the product here, but should I just treat COFFEE as dead and bite the bullet with C++. Will MAXON just put us all out of our misery?
I know all the old arguments. C++ is faster, better, stronger (tall buildings at a single bound etc.) but I'd still rather stay away if I can

Hi,
no. Björn Marl once said in the German forum that COFFEE is NOT dead and that MAXON did not forget about COFFEE. A certain date for an update wasn´t set though.
I guess waiting is the only thing you can do. But that shouldn´t stop you from getting into COFFEE. It´s still a very useable language. And for a lot of things there are workarounds.
Have fun!
